Not sure, but I'd be happy to take a few guesses:Guess#1 - double check to make sure when you edit the 'fsgame.ltx' correctly. ANY additional spaces, or tabs can break the file.

I recommend using a program called 'Programmer's Notepad 2' and make sure you have 'show/mark whitespace' enabled in it's options so you can see all tabs and spaces.Guess#2 - the file you have to merge in the pack may have been merged incorrectly. Perhaps instead of merging, it replaced the entire folder, deleting the other contents. Either that or it isn't in the right place - double check by following the 'tree' of folders in the patch to ensure it ended up where it needed to be without moving or deleting any other files.NOTES:- BE SURE TO BACK UP the entire game with steam BEFORE you attempt patching it. That way of you run into trouble again you can start over without re-downloading the game!- make sure Steam is Closed/Shutdown while attempting the mod.I am also going to upload a copy of my fsgame.ltx file, so you can use it for reference, or maybe even just use my file (not sure if using my file will work- but if you follow the steps above and open it with Programmer's Notepad 2 and make sure it is set to mark whitespace (find this option under the 'view' menu in programmer's notepad) then it should make a perfect reference. It is the 2nd line you want to be looking for.here is a link to it:I suggest reinstalling a fresh copy of the game before attempting to make sure it's working beforehand - unless you manually made a backup of the fsgame.ltx and the games folder tree file before you modded it (which is why it's much easier to back up the game with steam first;)Hope this helps!

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl Tweak Guide Page 9 Advanced Tweaking (Pt.3)Command Line SwitchesThere are a range of additional commands you can execute when first launching STALKER called Command Line Switches. These 'switches' are commands which are passed on to the game's main executable file XR3DA.exe, telling the engine to do certain things as the game launches. To use a command line switch, go to your STALKER launch icon, right-click on it and select Properties.

Then in the Target box, one space after the last character, insert the switch(es) you wish to use, each separated by one blank space. For example:'C:Program FilesTHQS.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of ChernobylbinXR3DA.exe' -nointro -noprefetch -noshadowsThe switches -nointro, -noprefetch and -noshadows used above have been added to disable the introductory logo screens, prevent prefetching of data and also disable all non-Sun shadows in the game engine. These would otherwise not be possible to do using the in-game settings. You can disable them at any time simply by removing the relevant switch from the launch icon, or creating a second launch icon without the switches and using that to launch the game whenever you don't wish to enable a certain switch. The full list of Command Line Switches for STALKER is provided further below, and a brief description for each is provided wherever possible. I've tested each and every switch, however some switches have no discernable impact, or simply cause the game to crash while loading.
