Hey.Im about to start a new run through of EE and am trying to work out what party build I want. Im thinking of going with a rogue (wolfgraff), ranger (bairdotr) and a mage. Since I'd give each of these glasscannon, I was thinking of making the fourth character into a warrior with a sword and sheild and use him to tank for my weaker other characters. All of the sword and shield tank recommendations are always lone wolf though. I was wondering if someone could recommend some build tips for this or if i should just go with a 2 handed warrior for more control and damage.Thanks!. Tank without Lone Wolf does work.

But the character won't be that good in tanking the early levels. Here is an example for a tank without Lone Wolf.Strength Tank at Level 1:.Strength +3.Constitution +1 (if you take Bigger & Better).Speed +2Put EVERYTHING into Strength after this. It increases your Knock Down chance, which is far more important than having a higher life pool. Abilities: Body Building(+2), Willpower(+1), Man-at-Arms(+1)You can also start with Leadership and maybe even take a point in Scoundrel, if you want Pinpoint for throwing grenades. Talents: Bully, Bigger & BetterHe will not really be a tank early on. You can give him a Two-Hander until you find a shield with good stats.Strength Tank at Level 15:.Strength +10.Constitution +1.Speed +2After this, I recommend to invest 2/3 in Speed and 1/3 in Constitution. Abilities: Armour Specialist(+2), Body Building(+3), Shield Specialist(+3), Willpower(+3), Man-at-Arms(+4)You will have 5 points left.

Increase Body Building, Leadership, or a crafting ability. It really depends on your group.

You just don't need Man-at-Arms 5. Talents: Bully, Bigger & Better, All Skilled Up, Picture of HealthThere are 2 Talent Slots left. You can take Pinpoint & Slingshot for grenade usage, Scientist for crafting and Pet Pal, if you don't have it in the group. The character doesn't really depend on all that many Talents. You can even take Zombie, which offsets the lack of Poison resistance and is actually viable later on!The character will have around 50% block chance at that point. And with the skill 'Elemental Tortoise' and upgraded gear (chest, gloves, sarong and shield boosted with ruby or essences), he will have over 100% resistances in every element, except Poison. That means, that he can heal himself by getting shot in the face with a fireball.Edit: has mentioned Leech.

It also is a really viable Talent option. I preferred to use a 2H and here is why.If you put some points in constitution and get picture of health + have good armor youll be pretty tanky. If you do decide to lone wolf ( i did) you'll be even tankier. You dont really NEED the shield to survive. I played all the way through tactician mode with a lone wolf 2h warrior who was hilariously unbeatable. He would also one shot things with his mega sword and flurry. Although if you through grenades from the wrong position you can REALLY miss so be careful!I don't think you need that many points in willpower especially at lower difficulties and if you dont take a shield max 2H and STR while leaving some points for constitution and speed.

I think LEECH is SO FREAKING GOOD and dont understand why the other comment didnt mention it in bold. You walk over blood? Its too good to pass up on a tank!.
