Hi,If you do not have HP Wireless Assistant installed on your computer and you do not want to install it, you can use the Windows Mobility Center to turn wireless devices on and off.Windows Mobility Center only allows all wireless devices to be turned on or off-wireless LAN and Bluetooth devices cannot be turned off individually, as they can when using HP Wireless Assistant. The action of the Windows Mobility Center control is independent of the wireless device power switch. Thanx for the response. I tried installing the wireless assisstant but when I open it nothing happens.

I also tried the windows mobility center but that doesn't even give the option to turn wireless on or off but I can see it says its off. I even tried going to device manager and enabling the radio on/off but that didn't work either. I downloaded the drivers using another laptop's wireless connection and tried installing but that doesn't help either.I don't mean to be difficult but it really feels like I have tried everything. I am using win7 professional by the way.
