Smith & Wesson Model 586 no dash distinguished Combat Revolver. Greetings and Happy Holidays to all. This is my latest S&W revolver. I would like to know if anybody can give me an idea of the value of this revolver.
Beyond the cylinder ring there isn't a scratch on it. It is in excellent condition. Another question I have is regarding the date of manufacture. The serial # is AUD70XX I can't seem to pinpoint it in the standard catalog. Finally and maybe most importantly I believe this model was recalled. I can not find a M stamped on the yoke so I assume this revolver never made the trip back home.

My thoughts on the S&W K38 Combat Masterpiece in.38 Special. This gun is essentially the standard M&P K Frame model 10 revolver with adjustable sights and a barrel rib. This gun was a favorite of law enforcement until it was eclipsed by the Model 19 Combat Masterpiece which was essentially the same gun Chambered in.357 Magnum to lessen the weight of carrying the N frame models 27 and 28.
